ABOUT US

JORDIEL HIDALGO
About Our Founder

“It was a rainy day in 6th Grade and the street was wet in upstate, New York. My friends invited me to ride bikes around the neighborhood. I looked into my closet and wondered what I should wear. Then I found an outfit but I found my passion as well.

I picked out a white shirt, baby blue jeans, and blue canvas sneakers.

Bike tires and wet streets will have the back of your shirt looking like a mud fight but I didn’t care. I put on my best clothes, my best selection, a perfect opportunity to wear something I felt confident in. I knew it was an outfit that spoke to me because I remember it to this day. It was an accomplishment. I ruined my shirt but my passion for fashion became evident.”

15+ YEAR LEGACY

OUR MOTTO

“Coat of Colour was created to instruct and inspire men and women to wear only what they love. It is a brand that started with the solution that if one can work on his image, his image will inevitably influence every area of his life.  With insightful dress guides that teach us how to design our wardrobe, we become fashion-conscience. With clothing designed to express ourselves, we use creativity to tell the story of who we truly are.

We are here to help you create the wardrobe you’ve always desired. Whether it’s a new closet, outfit, or occasion. We want to make you aware of how good you can feel when your outfit looks good.

Jordiel started altering his clothes in the 6th grade, stitching them by hand. Then he styled various hip-hop artists and men of influence in the Bronx. They wanted clothing tailor-made for them, we created garments specifically designed for their lifestyle. Currently, we help anyone with a desire to dress better. We sell genuine dress guides and clothing.

Ultimately, our purpose is eternally driven. We were founded to express traditional creativity in fashion and to fund missionaries across the globe. We will acquire property to give for the advancement of the Good News of the Lord Jesus Christ. Our job is to steward this needle (pun intended) and keep pushing it until this coat covers the Earth.”
